We used this song for our advancedment pack meeting this evening. I made some changes to another version I found online to make it current with the new Lion program and phasing out of the term “Tiger Cub” in favor of Tiger.

We used this song at our Blue and Gold Banquet this evening. I modified an earlier version of this that was used at my Blue and Gold when I was in Cub Scouts to include Lions.

Scouting’s Journey to Excellence is the Boy Scouts of America’s planning, performance, and recognition program designed to encourage and reward the success of its units, districts and councils. It is meant to encourage excellence in providing a quality program at all levels of the BSA.
To reach Gold, our pack had to score highly on different grading criteria within 8 out of 11 target areas such as:
A perk of Gold status is that each member gets a spiffy new patch to wear on the bottom of the right sleeve of their blue or tan scout uniform shirts. These were distributed at the Blue and Gold Banquet.
